Issues between Del Rio & Indie companies, WWE return update, TNA optimistic for 2016, Dreamer - TNA

Alberto Del Rio cancels indie bookings for WWE?

- Alberto Del Rio already has been called out by an Indie promotion in the past once, but the latest incident involving another German promotion shows that it wasn’t an isolated incident.

German promotion wXw has come out saying that Alberto has pulled out of their planned shows following a dispute with his management. The promotion claimed on facebook that the dates were agreed upon by Alberto in December last year, but were contact just days ago by his manager who demanded an upgrade for his client to business class travel. When the promotion tried to negotiate with Del Rio’s management team, he reportedly rejected their proposals and cancelled the bookings.

All of these events strangely coincide as the planned shows were to happen the same weekend as WWE are set to tour Mexico. We have been reporting on the WWE’s interest in pursuing Del Rio following their need for a Hispanic top star on the roster. While no deal has been confirmed yet between WWE and Alberto, it wouldn’t be surprising if Del Rio appears in the WWE when they make the tour.

- While Shane Helms has been garnering praise backstage for his work as an agent, another name from the WWE world who has been gaining note for his work backstage is ECW original Tommy Dreamer. Dreamer was reportedly responsible for the ‘Bound for Gold’ gauntlet match at Bound For Glory.

While there have been negative reports aplenty about TNA being a sinking ship following their exit from Destination America, the employees on the roster sound positive about a turnaround for the company in the coming year. They are optimistic about a new TV deal coming through and 2016 being a launching point for better things to come.

For now, the company is focussed and invested in the Indian tour set for later this year as that is one market the company is seemingly high on for the future. The live event tour in November would be preceded by the media tour set for next week with Mahabali Shera, EC III and Rebel coming to India to do promotional work.
