Jey Uso has been having a remarkable title reign as the WWE World Heavyweight Champion. Not only is he still among the top babyface stars in the company, but fans love him even more after his victory over Gunther for the title on Night One of WrestleMania 41. He retained his title against Seth Rollins via disqualification on the May 5 edition of RAW and against Logan Paul at Saturday Night's Main Event.
However, WWE’s Money in the Bank Premium Live Event saw Rollins win the briefcase, which could cause major issues for the champion on the upcoming episode of RAW.
Jey Uso is scheduled to face Gunther on the upcoming episode of RAW. This will be their first rematch since WrestleMania, and fans are hyped for it. Moreover, the stakes are even higher with Rollins holding the Money in the Bank briefcase now.
Speculation suggests that The Ring General could dethrone Mr. Yeet to win his title back, only to get cashed in on by The Visionary. This means that the WWE World Heavyweight title could change hands twice in one night.
On the other hand, Rollins could easily just cash in his briefcase on Jey Uso with the help of Bron Breakker and Bronson Reed. The duo was responsible for him winning at Money in the Bank.
While either scenario could take place, the title switching hands twice in one night would be much more exciting. However, this is just speculation, and nothing is confirmed as of now.
Jey Uso needs a good feud with a big star
Since winning the WWE World Heavyweight Title at WrestleMania 41, The Yeet Master has yet to have a major feud. While his animosity with Gunther continues, fans want something more.
The last time Uso held a singles title was the Intercontinental Championship, which he won in September 2024 on RAW by defeating Breakker. That reign was short as he lost the title in 28 days.
While fans would like to see Jey Uso have a long title reign, they also want a story. Having him lose his title to Rollins so soon would derail his momentum as the world champion.
To establish credibility with the title, Uso needs to have a high-profile feud on RAW and move on from his story with Gunther.
