On Saturday, September 1, 2018, WWE returned to China for the third straight year. Live Event took place at the Mercedes-Benz Arena of Shanghai. Fans present there were able to enjoy the performance of superstars like Roman Reigns, Brawn Strawman, Seth Rollins, Finn Balor, Ronda Rousey, Alexa Bliss, Sasha Banks and many more.
But the real show stealer of the night was John Cena with his new look. John Cena is working extra hard after his divorce from Nikki Bella, and is in perhaps the best form of his career.
But looks are not the only things new about him. At the live event, John Cena teamed up with Finn Balor and Bobby Lashley to take on the team of Elias, Jinder Mahal and Baron Corbin. Towards the end of the match, Cena delivered AA to Elias but instead of going for the pin, he unveiled his new finisher called the 'Lightning Fist'. He came running towards Elias and hit him on the side of the face with a punch. Although it didn't connect properly, Elias played his part and stayed down for the 3 counts giving the babyfaces victory over the heel trio. Fans have already started debating over his new move, many calling it as his worst move.
WWE has different thoughts on this and has labelled it as the doomiest move of Cena's arsenal.
Cena is known to fool around at house shows, generating massive pops from the crowd. This could be the same case as it looked very weak to be a finisher. The name 'Lightning Fist' however, sounds way cooler than 'Attitude Adjustment', which is another weak looking finisher. Looks like Cena really needs a new finisher which actually looks strong.
The WWE may have big plans for Cena's return, so expect him to make a big impact soon.
