More names revealed for the WWE Network Supercard Event, Jericho vs Lesnar on the cards?

Jericho may face Lesnar in a dream match on July 4th WWE Network Event in Tokyo

As noted, NXT General Manager William Regal announced the WWE Network Supercard Event for 4th ?of July which will air live from the Sumo Hall in Tokyo, Japan, at 6:30am EST. The event will feature a match for the NXT Title where NXT Champion Kevin Owens will look to defend his gold against Finn Balor.

Besides that, the updated announced roster for the live event includes Brock Lesnar, WWE United States Champion John Cena, Chris Jericho, The Lucha Dragons, Paige and Neville. Also superstars including King Barrett, Dolph Ziggler, WWE Divas Champion Nikki Bella, Cesaro & Tyson Kidd, WWE Tag Team Champions The New Day and the injured Hideo Itami are advertised but not mentioned in tonight’s announcement.

Earlier, Jericho was slated to face Balor, but now with Balor facing Owens for the NXT Championship, Jericho finds himself without an opponent. This led to speculations running rampant that Jericho might end up facing Brock Lesnar in a dream match. Lesnar was also earlier booked to face Kofi Kingston, but considering the event airing live, that could change for now.

The announcement was made during this week’s NXT broadcast via a one minute video by NXT GM talking about how they wanted NXT to be featured at the show, so that’s why he came up with Owens vs. Balor. Check out the video below:
