An injured WWE Superstar has provided a one-word update about his long road to recovery.
The Judgment Day's Dominik Mysterio has become one of the most hated superstars on the main roster, but he also spent some time in NXT in 2023. He ended Wes Lee's historic reign as NXT North American Champion on July 18, 2023, and was scheduled to defend the title against the former champion at Deadline last December.
However, Wes Lee suffered a serious injury ahead of the match and will be out of action for the foreseeable future. After Lee announced his injury, WWE Hall of Famer Rey Mysterio appeared on the jumbotron and informed his son that he would be defending the title against Dragon Lee at Deadline. Dragon Lee picked up the victory but recently dropped the title to Oba Femi on NXT.
Wes Lee took to social media to provide a one-word update. He shared that he is now walking, and you can check out his post below.
His former tag team partner, Zachary Wentz, took to social media to react to Lee's message by quoting the lyrics to Batista's entrance music. The 29-year-old responded by sharing a GIF of The Animal during his iconic entrance.
Shawn Michaels gives his honest opinion about WWE star Dominik Mysterio
Shawn Michaels has taken over the creative process in NXT now that Triple H has gained power in the company.
In an exclusive interview with Sportskeeda Wrestling's Riju Dasgupta, The Heartbreak Kid praised Dominik Mysterio for his growth as a WWE Superstar. Michaels added that The Judgment Day member has established himself as a star and Rey Mysterio is likely very proud of his son.
"I think you're not the son of a WWE Superstar and not have some of his attributes, right?" Michaels said. "Rey, I think is in one hand very proud of his son, and I guess maybe on another a little bit disappointed, but I think Rey also understands that he's growing and he's becoming his own man, and that's something that Dom is doing."
