This week’s WWE RAW saw Bron Breakker visiting the wrestlers competing for the No. 1 contender spot for his Intercontinental Championship. Interestingly, the champion insulted a 30-year-old superstar backstage who was also one of the candidates to win the title shot. The man in question is Pete Dunne, who was attacked verbally by Breakker and physically ambushed right after.
Bron Breakker approached Pete Dunne and taunted him by almost calling him ‘Butch’. Responding to it, The Bruiserweight said that he was going to take the number one spot, win the NXT Championship, and then win the IC title as well. He shrugged his shoulders and said that Breakker could call him a double champion once he accomplishes that.
Mocking him again, the Intercontinental Champion said that the biggest mistake Dunne could ever make in his career was to convince himself that he could beat Breakker. The champ also mimicked Dunne’s shrugging and said that it would be all the latter would be able to do when he reflected upon a devastating loss at his hands.
Interestingly, as soon as Bron Breakker left, Sheamus came running and attacked Pete Dunne. The Celtic Warrior was also carrying a shillelagh but failed to hit The Bruiserweight with it as the security team stopped him in time. However, the Irishman would loom like a constant threat over Dunne in the no-disqualification Fatal Four-Way match.
It will be interesting to see if Dunne can become a double champion, as he keeps making enemies wherever he goes.
