What’s the story?
On the afternoon of March 27th, Alberto Del Rio, also known as Alberto El Patron posted on his Instagram account a picture of himself with his fiancee Paige.
The caption in the photo had a lot of interesting information. Not only did he announce that they were getting married this Wednesday, but that they were also being harassed by the WWE.
In case you didn’t know...
Paige has been romantically involved with Alberto El Patron since May 2016. While they haven’t been together for even a full year yet, the relationship has seen its fair share of headlines in the news.
The heart of the matter...
Del Rio’s Instagram post is as follows:
Two big bombshells were dropped in just one small caption by Del Rio. We knew that Paige and Del RIo were going to get married eventually, but we didn’t expect it would be two days from when this Instagram post was made.
Del Rio appears to be referencing to the WWE when he mentions that they’ve tried to break them up numerous times.

His return to the WWE was a failed experiment, namely at the fault of creative, and he has been pretty vocal about it since his departure. With Paige still under a WWE contract, it is probably ruffling some feathers in the WWE that she is still in a relationship with him.
What’s next?
Later in the week, we might expect some wedding photos of the couple. It is also possible that the rights to the photographs could be sold to a celebrity news publication. We’ll keep you updated about any updates of the wedding ceremony as the information comes in.
Author’s Take
The WWE hasn’t made it easy for Paige in the past year. While Paige is young and probably has made some mistakes in her career, it is quite a coincidence that the two Wellness Policy violations occurred after she started seeing Del Rio.
Don’t forget that Alberto was also suspended for a Wellness Policy violation in August 2016.
Now El Patron is saying that the WWE is harassing them and trying to break up the couple. If they are doing this just a couple of weeks after Paige’s personal photos and videos were leaked, it is not a good look for the WWE.
