Big E sent a heartfelt message to a former WWE Champion who visited him in the hospital after last night's unfortunate events, which saw E break his neck.
On last night's SmackDown, The New Day took on Sheamus and Ridge Holland in a Tag Team match. The outing ended in disaster for E, as he was dropped on his head from a botched belly-to-belly suplex by Holland at ringside.
E was quickly taken to a medical facility, where he later revealed that he had suffered a broken neck.
Wishes began pouring in for the former WWE Champion from all corners of the wrestling world. Top WWE Superstar Drew McIntyre wrote a tweet as well, stating that he visited E in the hospital.
The Scottish Warrior added that he can't wait to hear the WWE Universe's reaction when E returns. The tweet received a response from E, who thanked McIntyre.

"I spent some time with @WWEBigE in the hospital last night and even in that situation you couldn't take the smile off his face. He really is remarkable. Love ya brother, can't wait to hear the reaction when you return."

The New Day member responded to the tweet, saying that he was thankful to Drew for who he was.
"It meant a ton to me. Thank you for being who you are, my friend," E wrote in his response.

Drew McIntyre is good friends with all the members of The New Day outside the ring. McIntyre had nothing but praise for Big E in an interview last year. He stated that he was ecstatic when he saw E win his first WWE Title by beating Bobby Lashley on RAW.
He added that he's watched E's WWE run from the very beginning and that he's over the moon for him. At Crown Jewel 2021, E defeated McIntyre in a singles match to retain his WWE Title.
Drew McIntyre is all set to collide with Happy Corbin at WrestleMania 38. Unfortunately for E, it seems like his neck injury will prevent him from being a part of The Show of Shows this year.
