John Cena and CM Punk crossed paths for the first time in a little over three months on tonight's RAW after Money in the Bank 2025. The date of their final match has been revealed.
This week on RAW, John Cena came out and addressed R-Truth, stating that he would never be able to use his name and character to benefit himself ever again. It was CM Punk, of all people, who surprisingly ended up confronting the 17-time World Champion.
CM Punk had a tense confrontation with his career-defining rival and made his intentions clear. He wanted to take the Undisputed WWE Title off John Cena, despite knowing the corrupting powers of the World Championship. While Punk wanted to do it right then and there in Phoenix, John Cena said that he would have to follow him to Saudi Arabia. Punk accepted the challenge for Night of Champions and said, "You're on."
Of course, some people's first thoughts could be in the irony of seeing Punk head to Saudi Arabia after making his opinions about the country known years before his WWE return.
Interestingly, on an Instagram live session not too long ago, Punk said that he does not hate the idea of going to Saudi Arabia.
The wording that Cena used made it clear that this would be their final match on June 28.
