A WWE legend made a shocking and unexpected return at Money in the Bank 2025. Appearing in a black hoodie, he directly cost John Cena, leading to Cody Rhodes getting the winning pin.

That legend is none other than R-Truth. You read that right. In a moment that nobody saw coming at Money in the Bank 2025, a man in a hoodie appeared and began assaulting John Cena. It was then revealed that the assailant was none other than the legendary R-Truth. The star recently disclosed that WWE would not be renewing his contract and would let it expire, marking the end of his storied 17-year run with the company.

However, he returned in the main event of Money in the Bank 2025 and cost John Cena, allowing Cody Rhodes to gain a measure of revenge by pinning the WWE Champion.

As of now, it's not known whether Truth's departure was part of a storyline or if the backlash WWE received led to them backtracking and signing Truth to a new deal. The reaction that Truth got from the locker room and fans was one of unanimous love and support, showcasing the impact he has had.

Just one night prior on SmackDown, Cena trolled fans by telling them that they weren't ready for the truth when they kept chanting, "We want Truth."
