Cody Rhodes made a remarkable return to WWE in 2022. The American Nightmare recently revealed the first superstar he met when he returned at WrestleMania 38.

Rhodes won the Undisputed WWE Championship at WrestleMania XL from Roman Reigns. It was the biggest WrestleMania moment for the second-generation superstar.

The American Nightmare has been hosting a series of ‘What Do You Wanna Talk About’ episodes with other top stars in recent months. Bianca Belair was the latest guest on his show, and Cody Rhodes made a major revelation during the episode.

Cody stated that Belair was the first person from the roster he met while he was waiting under the stage at ‘Mania. He posted a clip from the latest episode of What Do You Wanna Talk About alongside Bianca Belair with the following caption:

WWE veteran believes Cody Rhodes should have helped Roman Reigns

Solo Sikoa had the advantage over Cody Rhodes in the Bloodlines Rules match at WWE SummerSlam. It looked like Solo had the win in the bag before Roman Reigns made a surprise return.

Reigns attacked his former Enforcer and left him in a heap, allowing Rhodes to retain his title at The Biggest Party of the Summer. Speaking on Sportskeeda Wrestling’s SmackTalk podcast, Dutch Mantell noted that Cody should have helped Roman take out The Bloodline on the latest edition of SmackDown.

"You know what I expected there with Roman taking on the other two guys? I expected Cody to halfway show up and they have the staredown in the show. Nothing changes, just Cody comes back and tries to get those two guys off Roman. He hates Roman, Roman hates him. Still, they could have helped each other. I don't think it would've hurt anything. That's what I expected," Mantell stated.

The creative team decided to keep Cody Rhodes out of the storyline and instead booked him in a title defense for Bash in Berlin against Kevin Owens. Meanwhile, it looks like The Original Tribal Chief will work alone until he can assemble a team to take down Solo Sikoa’s Bloodline.
