On Monday night Raw, Shane McMahon made a huge announcement by setting up the WWE Tag Team Tournament to determine the #1 Contenders for New Day’s WWE WorldTag Team Championship. The Usos and The Dudley Boyz qualified to the next round by beating Social Outcasts and Lucha Dragons respectively in the first round which took place on Raw.
The first round of the tag team tournament is set to continue in this week’s SmackDown also. The bizare team of Golden Truth will take on the rookies from NXT, The Vaudevillains. Simmilarly, the red hot Enzo and Cass witll take on The Ascension. The winning teams will qualify for the next round of the tag team tournament.
It is also to be noted that if Enzo and Cass win, they will face The Dudley Boyz in the next round of the tournament. The confrontations of these two teams in the past two weeks of Raw has set the entire tag division on fire. The verbal battles may soon end up in in-ring action.
Also, there is also the speculation that WWE will seek to continue the rivalry of Y2J and Dean Ambrose in this week’s SmackDown. The verbal war between these two is sure to ignite the entire arena. And the feud between Emma and Becky Lynch may blow up in this week’s SmackDown.
With all these exciting segments and matches set up, this week’s SmackDown will indeed deliver.
