Bad Bunny surprised WWE fandom with his sporadic wrestling matches in the last few years. Most notably, he competed against Damian Priest at Backlash, Puerto Rico, in 2023. The bout, contested under Street Fight rules, was lauded unanimously and made it to the top lists that year.
Before going up against Priest, who is his real-life friend, the two men teamed up at WrestleMania in 2021 to take on The Miz and John Morrison. They scored a win on The Grandest Stage of Them All.
Having had the experience of working with Bunny, Morrison recently spoke about the Grammy Award-winning rapper's efforts to put on a show in WWE. The latter is currently an independent wrestler but also appears for All Elite Wrestling and Lucha Libre AAA Worldwide.
In an interview on Insight with Chris Van Vliet, Johnny TV said that Bad Bunny is one of the most "humble" celebrity stars who has graced the ring. He added that the latter is not only an entertainer but also a fan of the sport:
"He [Bad Bunny] does not want to have a bad wrestling match. Because he really respects and is a fan of the business. And he’s got all that entertainment background so he knows how to entertain. To me, I think he’s the most high profile humble and deserving star, celebrity guest that wrestling has had," said Johnny TV.
The San Juan Street Fight in Puerto Rico wound up being Bad Bunny's last WWE match. A year has passed as we are once again nearing another edition of the Backlash Premium Live Event, this time in France. Furthermore, Damian Priest is the new World Heavyweight Champion in his first reign.

Drew McIntyre has been burning a hole through Damian Priest ever since The Judgment Day star stole one at The Show of Shows. McIntyre's triumphant moment as World Heavyweight Champion was cut short by Priest with a timely Money in the Bank cash-in, ending his third world title reign in five minutes.
Following WrestleMania XL, Bad Bunny had a hilarious reaction to The Scottish Warrior's loss. Damian Priest appears open to forgiving the musician after the rivalry they had last year:
"Okay, I see you," said Priest, with regard to Bunny's message to Drew McIntyre.
The Archer of Infamy also credited their match as partly elevating him to new heights in WWE. His frame of mind changed to do better with each passing day, all of which ultimately led to his coronation as the World Heavyweight Champion.
