Grayson Waller gives hilarious new nickname to popular WWE tag team

One-half of the new SmackDown Tag Team Champions and A-Town Down Under Grayson Waller mocked a popular tag team in WWE and gave the duo a hilarious new nickname ahead of this week's episode of the blue brand.

The Australian star is in a tag team with Austin Theory, and the duo picked up a major victory at WrestleMania XL. They emerged victorious during the Six-Pack Challenge Ladder match to become champions. Speaking on WWE's The Bump today, Waller discussed the tag team of Pete Dunne and Tyler Bate known as New Catch Republic. The Moment Maker claimed the duo lacked charisma and didn't know what it takes to be superstars. He even offered a new sarcastic nickname for their tag team.

"They were taking notes. The No Charisma Republic, they have been struggling," said Waller. [From 34:27 to 34:32]

SmackDown star Grayson Waller believes that he and Austin Theory should be front and center as the tag team champions and featured on all of the company's promotional posters moving forward.

During the conversation on WWE's The Bump, Waller and Theory were asked what becoming champions meant to them. Waller noted that tag teams on SmackDown now have something to fight for, and they should be promoted heavily because they are the superstars.

"You notice that Judgment Day, they didn't come around SmackDown very much. They were on RAW, so we had a bunch of tag teams who were just fighting each other because we don't like each other. But now there is something of value for all of these talented tag teams, and I hate saying nice things, but it is true, talented tag teams to fight for."

He added:

"But for us, we want to bring this tag team championship into relevancy. We want to bring tag team championships, and tag team wrestling back to the forefront, because we are the superstars. We should be on the posters. We should be on the highlight packages. We should be everywhere, and that is what is going to happen. There is no other tag team on SmackDown who can do that," said Waller. [From 34:56 to 35:25]

Awesome Truth was also victorious in the Six-Pack Ladder match at WrestleMania XL and was presented with the new World Tag Team Championships this past Monday night on RAW. Only time will tell if Waller and Theory are given new titles as well this Friday night on WWE SmackDown.
