WWE Superstar Charlotte Flair has been absent from television for nearly ten months. The Queen recently opened up about the injury that forced her out of action.
The former Women's Champion sustained multiple injuries during her match with Damage CTRL's Asuka on the December 8, 2023, edition of Friday Night SmackDown. Charlotte Flair underwent surgery and has yet to make her return to WWE television.
During her appearance on the Forever Young Podcast, Charlotte Flair claimed that she felt like her life was over after she got injured. She pointed out that it was upsetting that it happened while her husband Andrade was gearing up for his WWE in-ring return. Flair added that she would come out of the injury as a better version of herself.
"When it first happened, I thought my life was over. [laughs] I was like, oh my gosh, a perfect storm. My husband [Andrade] had just come back to the company or was on his way back. I knew he was gonna be debuting soon, and I just, from the moment I was taken out, I just have kept telling myself that I'm gonna come back the best version of The Queen, and when I do come back, and you never like to be sidelined due to an injury. But then again, I'm not sure if I would have ever sidelined myself had it not been for the injury, so it's been a challenge, but a challenge I know that's gonna make me better in the long run," she said. WWE Hall of Famer makes bold prediction about Charlotte Flair's return
WWE Hall of Famer and Charlotte Flair's father, Ric Flair, extended his support to The Queen following her unfortunate injury.
While speaking on Casual Conversations, The 16-time World Champion praised his daughter and referred to her as the best in the business. Flair added that he believed his daughter's return would be the greatest storyline in professional wrestling.
"She is the best worker in the business, male or female. She never politics. In this horrible world of politics in the business, she doesn't kiss anybody's a**. She just gets better every day. She'll come back from this injury. It's stressing her out because she hasn't been hurt in a long time, but she's so muscled up. She'll come through the surgery, they'll put some stem cells in her, she'll come back, and it'll be the greatest storyline of all time. She and Bayley, IYO, Asuka. There are more people for her to wrestle. She has so much going on. I'm not knocking any of the other girls. Someone has to be the best, that's just the way it is," he said. [H/T - Fightful]
