The June 13 episode of WWE SmackDown saw John Cena open the show for the second time this week. In what was a huge ego trip for him, he revealed why he's sure Seth Rollins won't cash in his Money in the Bank briefcase on him.
The Undisputed WWE Championship has been safe from a Money in the Bank cash-in for a few years now, and it seems like the 17-time World Champion is confident that it'll continue that way. According to him, Seth Rollins isn't even going to think of cashing in his Money in the Bank briefcase on him.
That's because, by John Cena's logic, Seth Rollins will wait for him to be done and retire with the WWE Championship so that he can become the de facto champion.
WWE failed to hide these secrets - Check them out!
This was something we've only ever seen once in the 20-year history of the Money in the Bank briefcase. This was when Becky Lynch announced that she would be vacating the RAW Women's Championship in 2020 to deal with her pregnancy, giving then-MITB holder Asuka an instant title win.
However, the option is also there to have Seth Rollins cash in his MITB briefcase on the World Heavyweight Champion on RAW.
The segment with John Cena took a more interesting turn, with more names confronting him.
