On June 7, The Maverick and the Undisputed WWE Champion John Cena squared off against Cody Rhodes and Jey Uso in a tag team contest. During the match's final moments, Paul executed a springboard Lionsault, driving The YEET Master through an announce table. However, this high-risk move led to a serious injury for the 30-year-old star.

Speaking on his recent IMPAULSIVE podcast, Logan Paul revealed that he sustained a hematoma on his shin as a direct result of the moonsault.

Logan Paul says John Cena didn't believe he could hit the Lionsault at WWE Money in the Bank

R-Truth (now Ron Killings) made a shocking return at MITB and attacked The Cenation Leader when Logan Paul was knocked out because of his moonsault move. Following this interference from the 53-year-old legend, Uso and Rhodes emerged victorious over their opponents.

That being said, in the same video, The Maverick shared that he approached John Cena about executing the Lionsault through the announcer's table. However, the 17-time WWE World Champion doubted Paul's ability to perform it.

"It's before the match and I'm telling John Cena, I was like 'Hey, I'd like to fit this spot in there, right?' He looks at me and goes, 'You can't make that jump.' I go, 'I swear to God, I can.' John's the best, but in full sincerity, he goes, 'You can't make that jump,'" he added. [From 01:02:25 to 01:02:44]
