"My wife pointed this out" - Veteran exposes WWE for piping in boos for Dominik Mysterio and Trish Stratus (Exclusive)

Despite being amongst the top heels in WWE at the moment, the company has been called out for piping in crowd boos for Dominik Mysterio and Trish Stratus.

WWE has had a history of adding boos and cheers to its televised shows, and their tactic was blatantly evident on the latest RAW episode. Former WWE writer Vince Russo stated that his wife highlighted one point about it. The fans in the front row behind Trish Stratus were barely reacting, while the viewers at home could hear nothing but loud jeers.

Stratus recently turned heel after attacking Becky Lynch, and even though she is not a babyface anymore on screen, The Hall of Famer's changed character might be getting over with the WWE Universe.

Here's what was discussed about the piped-in sounds on this week's Legion of RAW:

"My wife happened to come down during this segment, and my wife pointed this out. When Trish Stratus is cutting her promo, bro, there is nobody reacting behind her. And bro, my wife said, 'Look at the people behind her; they look like they don't care.' Oh, bro, then we hear she's getting booed out. Do you guys think I don't know what I'm talking about?" Vince Russo had previously criticized WWE for "amping up" the heat on Dominik by adding more boos. If you've watched RAW and SmackDown religiously in recent times, you'd know that Rey Mysterio's son doesn't need the oft-used production trick to enhance his reputation as one of the hottest heels in the business.

Russo further explained that he had nothing against the young star but isn't a fan of how WWE was unnecessarily "sweetening" the heat on Dom.

"You guys took that, where I said they really amped up the heat with Dominik. That was a shot at Dominik. Even Disco (Inferno) took it that way. No, bro, it had nothing to do with Dominik. My point was they are trying to position Dominik as having all this heat when they are sweetening the heat, just like they absolutely did in Trish's promo." [32:01- 33:00]

What happened with Dominik Mysterio and Trish Stratus on WWE RAW?

While the red brand this week focused on the World Heavyweight Championship tournament, WWE advanced other storylines, including Trish Stratus' feud with Becky Lynch.

The legendary star mocked the crowd and took shots at The Man before Lynch made her return and chased Trish out of the ring.

Dominik was in action on RAW this Monday as he was first involved in a backstage segment featuring Xavier Woods. Mysterio faced the 12-time champion from the New Day and picked up a huge victory, his first singles win on TV since the March 20th episode of RAW, where he beat Johnny Gargano.
