On the latest edition of Monday Night RAW, Gunther won the World Heavyweight Championship for the second time in his career after he locked Jey Uso in a sleeper hold and made him pass out. Main Event Jey's loss shocked many, as a lengthy reign was expected.

Speaking on Behind The Turnbuckle Studios' The Coach and Bro Show, Jonathan Coachman asked Tommy Carlucci why he thinks Jey Uso lost the World Heavyweight Championship in less than two months. The veteran stated that Main Event Jey's loss was due to his inability to evolve as the champion or elevate the championship in the promotion.

"He [Jey Uso] did sell the most merchandise. People are coming to see him. They love him; they're yeeting, the whole bit. But for me, he just didn't elevate the championship. When Cody Rhodes won the title, he elevated... Jey didn't change that much. His promos didn't get any better... So, I think the reason why they gave it back to Gunther is he's a steady guy. He's an old-school, big-time heel that's going to carry the strap, and he's going to carry it well," Carlucci said. (From 52:14 to 52:56)

WWE Hall of Famer could be Gunther's next challenger after defeating Jey Uso - Reports

However, a new report suggests Triple H had a reason to make the title change. According to Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter (WON), The Game's creative regime plans to book a title match between Goldberg and Gunther.

The upcoming Saturday Night's Main Event will take place in Atlanta, and it's rumored to be the event for the WWE Hall of Famer's last match in the Stamford-based promotion.

A feud between the current World Heavyweight Champion and the former Universal Champion was set months ago, and a match in Atlanta could be the possible payoff.
