WWE is finishing up the card for Night of Champions on June 28, as the opening rounds of the King and Queen of the Ring Tournaments wrap up this week. As RAW began setting up the semifinals picture, a stunning loss took place.
Stephanie Vaquer, Raquel Rodriguez, Ivy Nile, and the returning Asuka squared off in tonight's opening bout. With all the momentum in the world behind La Primera, many expected to see Vaquer advance to the semis and possibly win the whole QOTR tournament. Instead, it was the Empress of Tomorrow, Asuka, moving on to Riyadh.
Stephanie Vaquer's been heavily protected since debuting with WWE back in October 2024. During her brief time in NXT, you could count on one hand how many times she'd been beaten and have several fingers to spare. Since moving to the main roster, the former NXT Women's Champion has been nigh unstoppable. Despite failing to win the Money in the Bank match, she'd been successful in every single television match on RAW or SmackDown.

That was until tonight. Stephanie Vaquer had a few close calls but was taken out late in the Fatal 4-Way bout by a nasty boot and Tejana Bomb from Raquel Rodriguez. Asuka would ultimately pin Rodriguez to secure her spot at Night of Champions.
When was the last time Stephanie Vaquer lost on WWE television?
This is Stephanie Vaquer's first official loss on RAW or SmackDown, though she wasn't pinned or submitted herself. However, The Dark Angel did suffer a few losses while a part of NXT.
In fact, her last match on the Tuesday night brand saw her lose the NXT Women's Championship to Jacy Jayne on May 27. After becoming the first woman to carry both that title and the NXT Women's North American Championship, Vaquer was forced to relinquish the latter.
Vaquer was two days out from a successful title defense against Jordynne Grace when she defended against Jayne, leading to one of the most shocking WWE championship changes in recent history.
