It's no secret that TKO has taken WWE to new heights in recent years, alongside Triple H, who is the creative force behind the company's renaissance. However, Vince Russo believes that former WWE CEO Vince McMahon could be plotting his way back to the Stamford-based promotion, with the support of Saudi Arabia.
McMahon was forced out of the company in 2022 due to several real-life allegations that led to him being embroiled in legal issues. Just over a year later, TKO officially acquired WWE, and since then, they have worked in tandem with Triple H, who serves as the Chief Content Officer. Under TKO's control, the promotion struck a game-changing deal with Netflix, heralding a new era in pro wrestling.
However, Vince Russo believes that the honeymoon period might be ending soon, as Vince McMahon could be eying a return to regain control of his creation. In a recent tweet, Russo claimed that McMahon, along with his Saudi Arabian partner, could be planning to take back the reins of the global juggernaut.
Check out his tweet below:
"If you don't think there's anything there with @VinceMcMahon and the Saudis and their PLOY to buy the @WWE, it's because you Don't Know @VinceMcMahon. It's REAL, and it may have been the Plan from Day 1!!!" tweeted Vince Russo.
WWE veteran Jonathan Coachman thinks Triple H also has issues with The Rock
On a recent episode of the podcast, The Two Men Power Trip of Wrestling, Jonathan Coachman claimed that The Rock, who's a part of TKO's board of directors, doesn't get along with Triple H. Coachman went as far as to suggest that there could be a power struggle between the two megastars to control WWE.
"From my time there and my time with The Rock, I know for a fact that he does not get along with Triple H. That does not go away. They've always been butting heads for years and years for a lot of different reasons. The reason I said on my show there's a big power struggle. Well, first of all, I've talked to two people close to the situation, and they've told me, but I can't tell you who they are, but I've got really good intel," he said.
These comments need to be taken with a pinch of salt, though, as there's no evidence of any discontent among the higher-ups in the company at this point.
