Teddy Long wasn't happy with Jey Uso's short reign as WWE World Heavyweight Champion

Teddy Long criticized WWE's decision to take the World Heavyweight Championship from Jey Uso. The former SmackDown General Manager believed it was "too soon" for The Yeet Man to lose the title.

Speaking on his Road Trip After Hours podcast, Long stated the following:

“To me, and this is my opinion, you know, I thought it was too soon,” Long said. “I thought he’d get a little bit of a run with it, you know what I mean? So, sometimes, you know, when you keep it for a minute, then, then when you do take it, it means something. Always remember this. It’s not how you win the title, it’s how you lose it.”

Jey will enter the WWE King of the Ring Tournament. RAW General Manager Adam Pearce revealed the former World Heavyweight Champion as the mystery entrant in this year's tournament.

On the upcoming episode of RAW, Jey will face Bronson Reed, Sheamus, and Rusev in a Fatal Four-Way Match. A victory for him would set up a match between him and Cody Rhodes.
