Triple H has been leading WWE through the new era of wrestling quite well, many believe. However, he may have a troubling situation ahead of him, or so a veteran thinks.
The Game's ascent to the top of the company was not exactly smooth, as Vince McMahon had a rather unceremonious exit from WWE. While McMahon is still embroiled in the scandal that led to his departure, he recently launched a new company, 14TH & I, which will apparently focus on media and entertainment opportunities.
According to Vince Russo, however, this is McMahon setting up his revenge against Triple H. Speaking on The Wrestling Outlaws, the former WWE head writer stated:
"Stephanie, his daughter, his son-in-law, and Nick Khan voted against him coming back to the company. At that moment, it was game over. People keep forgetting that. They just have no idea of the vindictiveness, the 'I am going to get you if it's the last thing,' they don't. That's his mindset, bro, that's the guy that he is. And unless you really know him, this stuff sounds crazy." [4:22 onwards]

Triple H namedropped the former WWE CEO during WrestleMania 41
Despite the apparently bad blood between Triple H and Vince McMahon, the former mentioned McMahon during this year's WrestleMania.
Legendary journalist Bill Apter later thanked Triple H for the tribute, to which the latter responded by explaining why it was necessary. Speaking at a media conference, the CCO stated that Vince McMahon's work is what led to the company being what it is today:
"None of us would be here... None of us. So, pretty hard not to mention," said Triple H.
As of now, only time will tell what Vince McMahon plans to do next.
