WWE Hall of Famer's sole world title reign trumps that of Kevin Owens, Big E and Kofi Kingston, says majority of fans

Kevin Owens, Big E and Kofi Kingston have all held a world title once in WWE!

Kevin Owens is still a top WWE star in 2023, despite only winning the Universal Championship once in his career thus far. Perhaps his biggest achievement to date is main eventing two WrestleManias back-to-back. One of them was even opposite Stone Cold Steve Austin, in the latter's first match in 19 years.

On the other hand, New Day stars Kofi Kingston and Big E have both fallen out of the main event scene since they held a world title. While the latter's career-altering neck injury was an unfortunate incident, the former went from KofiMania in 2019, back to the tag team division.

Nevertheless, all three of them have held a world title once in their careers. The same goes for WWE Hall of Famer John "Bradshaw" Layfield.

When a poll was conducted recently on Twitter/X, the vast majority of fans online deemed JBL as the winner of the bunch. According to them, the legend's WWE Championship reign between 2004 to 2005 was more iconic.

It began when he dethroned the beloved Eddie Guerrero, who in turn, sadly, also had only one reign under his belt. JBL was the most disliked superstar, and his lengthy title run was brought to an end by John Cena. Their WrestleMania 21 clash cemented Cena as one of the top stars from that point on.

Despite being an active member and a successful top star in the Stamford-based promotion, Kevin Owens is yet to win his second world title. It's not out of the realm of possibility, but he only recently moved to SmackDown. Roman Reigns currently holds the top title of the blue brand.

Kevin Owens wants to win a WWE world title again

"The Tribal Chief" Roman Reigns has defended his title at three separate premium live events against Kevin Owens in the last three years. The Prizefighter did the same; defending the Universal Title twice against The Big Dog during his reign between 2016 to 2017.

Speaking on his episode of Chronicle on the WWE Network a few years back, in the midst of his feud with Reigns, Owens elaborated on why it is important that he wins another world title:

"It matters. For me, because my first Universal title run I really didn't enjoy it as much as I should have. When I was in the middle of it I would always think "ah, we could've done this differently and we should have done that differently," and then it was over. Looking back, obviously, a few months removed or even a year, it took me a while to realize that I really didn't enjoy any of it," Owens said. [H/T: Fightful]
