A WWE Hall of Famer announced she had signed a new Legends contract with the promotion ahead of tonight's edition of SmackDown. This week's episode of SmackDown will air live from Rogers Place in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada.

Jacqueline Moore took to social media today to make a huge announcement. The veteran shared a link from Double Take Sports noting that she has agreed to a new WWE Legends contract. Moore was inducted into the Hall of Fame in 2016 and last competed in the ring during the 2018 Women's Royal Rumble.

It was noted in the article by Double Take Sports that Jacqueline Moore was the first African American woman to sign a Legends deal with the company.

Jacqueline Moore recently hinted at a WWE comeback

Wrestling legend Jacqueline Moore recently suggested that she could return to the ring someday.

Several legends of the business have recently returned to the company, including Trish Stratus, John Cena, and The Rock. In an interview on the Attitude Era podcast last year, Moore mentioned that she could make a return to the ring as well. She claimed that she still had a little left in the tank and claimed Triple H should give her a call.

"[Would it ever be a Jacqueline return to the WWE?] I would hope. I mean, you know, Vince, Triple H, somebody, y'all can call me. I still have a little left in the tank. I still have a little left in the tank, man. So, if you can return Trish, and The Rock can return, and John Cena can return, Jacqueline can return too, you know. That's what I'm talking about," she said. [7:35 - 7:54]
