WWE NXT GM Ava has made a major announcement today on social media. A WWE Superstar has suffered an injury and The Rock's daughter has announced his replacement for this week's show.
Ivar of The Viking Raiders recently shared that he is injured and does not know what the future holds for him. He also hilariously challenged his tag team partner, Erik, to a race to see who can get back to full health and return to the company.
Ivar was supposed to battle Josh Briggs and Wes Lee in a Triple Threat match this week with the winner earning a shot at the North American Championship. He has been ruled out following an attack from the Gallus faction last week.
Ava announced today that Joe Coffey will be replacing Ivar in the match. She made the announcement while also taking a shot at Joe Coffey today on social media. You can check out Ava's post by clicking here.

Bill Apter comments on Ava being named WWE NXT GM
Legendary wrestling journalist Bill Apter has reacted to Ava being named the new NXT General Manager and claimed that the company is still trying to find a role for the young star.
Speaking on Sportskeeda's The Wrestling Time Machine podcast, Bill Apter stated that the company is trying to find a fit for Ava. Apter added that she may come off as too young for an authority role in WWE:
"Listen, they are obviously trying to find a role for her [Ava]. They're trying to find the right spot for her. I don't know if she comes across with the right authority yet if she's too young for that part. I don't think her dad, The Rock, has said that, 'I'm on the board of directors, I want my daughter to have this,' I don't think that's what's happening."

The Rock has not been seen since he confronted Cody Rhodes on the RAW after WrestleMania XL. Only time will tell if The Rock and Ava ever share the screen together on WWE television sometime down the line.
