Nick Aldis has a lot on his hands lately on WWE SmackDown, especially tonight, as it will mark the final show before the long-awaited Survivor Series: WarGames event. With the final premium live event of the year incoming, he could make some announcements about this weekend or other surprising events.
Tonight's WWE SmackDown will feature the likes of Cody Rhodes, Shinsuke Nakamura, Jey Uso, Jacob Fatu, and more. It will also feature a meeting between Roman Reigns and CM Punk, who became unlikely allies for Survivor Series: WarGames. With this in mind, Nick Aldis may have a few thoughts regarding the upcoming PLE or the events that took place last week.
For this list, we will look at four things Nick Aldis might announce on WWE SmackDown tonight.
#4. Nick Aldis could ban Cody Rhodes and Kevin Owens this weekend
Cody Rhodes and Kevin Owens' feud continues to heat up on the Friday show, and a verbal showdown was seen last week between both men. Although their Undisputed WWE Championship match isn't scheduled until Saturday Night's Main Event, the General Manager could ensure they won't ruin anything this weekend.
Due to the intensity of Rhodes and Owens' feud, Aldis could instruct both men to take the weekend off. However, a brawl might ensue, meaning they don't listen to Nick's initial instructions. Due to this, Aldis could ban both of them to make sure he won't have to worry about them at Survivor Series.
#3. A possible unfortunate update on Jade Cargill's future on WWE SmackDown
Last week on WWE SmackDown, Jade Cargill was found slumped and bloodied on top of a wrecked car after being attacked by an unknown person. There are many theories about the identity of the attcker, but instead of revealing the person behind it, Nick may have other heavier news.
Cargill suffered several injuries from the attack. Due to the intensity of the damage, Aldis could announce that Jade will no longer be able to wrestle and won't be cleared to step foot inside the ring again.
#2. Bianca Belair could enter Survivor Series: WarGames 2024 without a championship
Jade's absence has affected a couple of major things on WWE SmackDown. She was supposed to compete in the upcoming Women's WarGames match, but after the attack, she was replaced by Bayley. However, this also means that her absence will leave Bianca Belair partnerless.
Since Belair and Cargill are the Women's Tag Team Champions, Aldis could ask Bianca to vacate the title to ensure that the gold will continue to be defended and others will have a chance.
#1. WWE Tag Team Championship to be defended in a major episode
It's safe to say that the WWE Tag Team Championship is much better represented compared to the World Tag Team Title on RAW. On WWE SmackDown, the Motor City Machine Guns have continuously defended the titles and have even entered an interesting storyline with the Street Profits, including a possible heel turn for DIY.
To settle the score and ensure that all three teams will have their chance to win the gold, Nick could announce a Triple Threat match for the upcoming Saturday Night's Main Event special.
