The WWE failed to capitalise on Balor's momentum after the match but hopefully, they can try again for a second time this year.

Given The Miz's history with current WWE Champion, Daniel Bryan, the A-Lister could turn out to be a surprise dark horse candidate to win this year's match.

There is, of course, also the possibility that the WWE just use this match to extend his baffling ongoing storyline with current SmackDown commissioner, Shane McMahon.
