He is currently not involved in any major rivalry. He is a major star and WWE wouldn't let the Master of the 619 sit on the sidelines at Survivor Series. Making him a member of the Smackdown team is the perfect option available for him right now.
Sure, it would be better for the future of Andrade "Cien" Almas as he could use the event to prove himself, but WWE is all about bringing out past legends at big events like this, regardless of the future.
Rey Mysterio also has a potential internal rivalry with another of his teammates to play off of as an internal dispute, and it most probably would be Randy Orton, as there are some rumours that suggest WWE is gonig to start a rivalry between Mysterio and Orton.
