Predicting the remaining 16 participants of the women's Royal Rumble match in 2019

Will we see Paige, Charlotte Flair and Becky Lynch in the same ring at Royal Rumble 2019?
Will we see Paige, Charlotte Flair and Becky Lynch in the same ring at Royal Rumble 2019?

The Royal Rumble PPV is exactly 2 weeks away which means we are just 2 weeks away from the most unpredictable match of WWE, the women's Royal Rumble match. 30 female superstars will compete in a time interval battle royale to place their bid to earn a title shot at WrestleMania 35.

A lot of new superstars and legends will definitely take part in this match, along with the regular TV superstars, and that is the reason why it is one of the favourite matches of the WWE Universe. As of now, 14 female superstars have entered the match, and the list goes as follows:

Sasha Banks, Bayley, Ember Moon, Natalya, Ruby Riott, Sarah Logan, Livv Morgan, Zelina Vega, Mandy Rose, Sonya Deville, Carmella, Natalya, Dana Brooke and Alicia Fox. With 14 entries already announced, the WWE may further announce 2 or 3 female superstars for this match and the remaining entrants may be revealed when the 30-women match takes place.

So, without further ado, let's look at the 16 female superstars who may fill the remaining empty slots of the match -

#1 & #2 - Trish Stratus and Lita

These legends were a part of the 2018 Rumble match as well
These legends were a part of the 2018 Rumble match as well

Now, as mentioned ahead, the Royal Rumble match is a match where several legends make a one-off return to the squared circle. And, if we look at the 2018 Royal Rumble match, Trish Stratus and Lita were amongst the legends who had returned and they even were a part of the first ever all women's PPV, 'Evolution' later in the year.

Both the female superstars looked in good shape in 2018 and with the Women's Tag Team Championships being introduced soon, it seems like Stratus and Lita will make their return at Royal Rumble and will stay active till WrestleMania 35.

#3 Nia Jax

The Irresistible Force lost her #1 contender's match on RAW
The Irresistible Force lost her #1 contender's match on RAW

Nia Jax had battled Ronda Rousey in a RAW Women's Championship match at TLC but she failed to win the title from Rousey. We then saw Jax losing a #1 contender's match on RAW this past week against Sasha Banks.

So, the only thing that the FaceBreaker can do at the Royal Rumble PPV is be a part of the 30 women Royal Rumble match and try to earn another shot at the Women's Championship.

#4 Tamina Snuka

Just like her on-screen best friend, the only thing Tamina can do at Royal Rumble is to be a part of the Rumble match
Just like her on-screen best friend, the only thing Tamina can do at Royal Rumble is to be a part of the Rumble match

Tamina Snuka is another female superstar who has no storyline or feud heading into the Royal Rumble PPV and so I expect her to be a part of the women's Royal Rumble match on the show.

The chances of Nia Jax or Tamina Snuka winning the Royal Rumble match are very low as the WWE Creative may want this tag team to be in the Women's tag team championship picture.

#5 Nikki Bella

Nikki Bella
Nikki Bella

The Fearless Nikki Bella had made her return to the WWE in October last year where she wrestled at WWE Super Show Down and also main-evented the first ever all women's PPV, WWE Evolution. Nikki Bella had entered the 2018 Royal Rumble match at #27 and she was the last woman to be eliminated from that match.

Given that WWE still sees Nikki Bella as a top superstar, they may want her to be a part of the upcoming Royal Rumble match.

#6 Maryse

Maryse had wrestled on WrestleMania 33 and also on the Hell in A Cell PPV in 2018
Maryse had wrestled on WrestleMania 33 and also on the Hell in A Cell PPV in 2018

The reason why I don't see Brie Bella making her in-ring return in this match is that she had made a lot of botches inside the ring, the last time we saw her in the WWE.

So, I have picked Maryse to be in this match instead and the A-Lister's wife was not a part of the match in 2018, WWE should have her take part in the Royal Rumble match of 2019.

#7 Lana

Lana Day!
Lana Day!

The Ravishing Russian Lana has been a part of the WWE roster since long and despite the fact that she is yet to win her first title in the WWE, she is very popular amongst the WWE Universe.

The WWE would want the lower card superstars in the Rumble match to make up the numbers and so, Lana will undoubtedly participate in the upcoming Royal Rumble match.

#8 Mickie James

Mickie James has shockingly not been announced for the Royal Rumble match yet
Mickie James has shockingly not been announced for the Royal Rumble match yet

Alexa Bliss's best friend and former Women's Champion Mickie James has been wrestling on WWE shows every week and it is quite astonishing that WWE has not made Mickie announce her entry in the Royal Rumble match till now.

Though she may not enter the match as a favourite to win the match, Mickie James is a veteran and has always been a marquee attraction of the women's division. So, she should be a part of the 2019 Royal Rumble match.

#9 Beth Phoenix

Beth Phoenix
Beth Phoenix

The legendary Beth Phoenix, who had entered the men's Royal Rumble match and eliminated the Great Khali earlier in her career, may well be looking to enter her 3rd Royal Rumble match in 2019. Beth Phoenix was even a part of the first-ever women's Royal Rumble match in 2018 where she was eliminated by Natalya.

Given that the Royal Rumble PPV is taking place in a baseball stadium this year, the WWE may announce Beth Phoenix's entry before the show.

#10 Michelle McCool

Michelle McCool had eliminated 5 female superstars in the Royal Rumble match of 2018
Michelle McCool had eliminated 5 female superstars in the Royal Rumble match of 2018

Another legendary superstar who may return to the squared circle once again at the Royal Rumble PPV, Michelle McCool holds the record of the most number of eliminations in a women's Royal Rumble match.

She had eliminated Sonya Deville, Liv Morgan, Molly Holly, Lana and Vickie Guerrero in 2018 and would definitely want to better her 2018 record in 2019.

#11 Nikki Cross

Nikki Cross is one of the 6 NXT call-ups who will be a part of the main roster soon
Nikki Cross is one of the 6 NXT call-ups who will be a part of the main roster soon

Current member of SAnity, Nikki Cross is yet to make her main roster debut this year. She battled then SD Live women's champion Becky Lynch in a once-off singles match on SmackDown Live.

WWE is advertising Nikki Cross to be a part of the main roster very soon and it is expected that she will most likely participate in the Royal Rumble match of 2019.

#12 Alexa Bliss

Little Miss Bliss should return to the ring at Royal Rumble
Little Miss Bliss should return to the ring at Royal Rumble

Former RAW Women's Champion Alexa Bliss has been away from in-ring competition ever since her match against Ronda Rousey at the Hell in A Cell pay-per-view. She has been on TV of late but in a managerial role and not in a wrestling role.

However, the Five Feet of Fury recently revealed, that she will make her in-ring return soon and with the Royal Rumble PPV taking place in 2 weeks, WWE should clear Alexa Bliss for that match.

#13 Lacey Evans

Lacey Evans made her debut on WWE Main Event last week
Lacey Evans made her debut on WWE Main Event last week

Lacey Evans made her first televised appearance on WWE Main Event against Natalya where she tapped out after being locked in the Sharpshooter by the Queen of Harts. In my opinion, Evans should be on the blue brand but it seems like WWE want her to be a part of the Monday Night RAW roster.

Nevertheless, given that Lacey Evans is soon going to be in WWE's women's division, she must be in the Royal Rumble match of 2019.

#14 Charlotte Flair

Charlotte Flair lost her opportunity to be in the SD Live Women's Championship match at the Royal Rumble PPV
Charlotte Flair lost her opportunity to be in the SD Live Women's Championship match at the Royal Rumble PPV

Now that Charlotte Flair will not challenge Asuka for the SmackDown Women's Championship at Chase Field, the best thing she can do on the show is try to win the Royal Rumble match.

Charlotte is amongst the favorites to win the match given that WWE is planning a Ronda Rousey vs Charlotte Flair match for WrestleMania 35. So, without a doubt, the Queen should make her Royal Rumble debut in 2019.

#15 Maria Kanellis

She was a part of the Evolution battle royale in October 2018
She was a part of the Evolution battle royale in October 2018

Maria Kanellis made her return to the WWE in June 2017 but she had taken a break from WWE TV later due to her pregnancy.

However, Maria has returned from her break now and she even wrestled on the Evolution PPV last year so, the WWE may want her to be in the Royal Rumble match of 2019.

#16 Paige

Paige
Paige

The reason why I did not include Becky Lynch in this list is that I want her to win the SD Live Women's Championship at Royal Rumble. But I have completed the line-up with another European female superstar, Paige.

Paige was removed as the General Manager of SmackDown Live last month and the reason behind it could be that WWE may want her to recover from her injuries and return to the ring once again. While a full-time return cannot be expected at this time, Paige can always make a one-off appearance in the Royal Rumble match and please her fans.
