#15 Jack Swagger (2010)

Swagger's Money in the Bank cash-in was marred by a forgettable championship run

Before Money in the Bank became a pay-per-view by itself, it was an extremely prestigious match to win. Taking place at WrestleMania 26, it was a symbol of a match which stars won before making their move to the main-event scene.

When Jack Swagger won the Money in the Bank briefcase at WrestleMania 26, he was expected to bring a sea-change to the WWE scene. When he cashed in the Money in the Bank briefcase against Chris Jericho, it looked like the beginning of something new.

Looking back at it now, it seems safe to say that the briefcase win came too early in Swagger's career. His championship run was less than memorable, as was Swagger's career after he finally lost the championship.

#14 Sheamus (2015)

Sheamus successfully cashed in the Money in the Bank briefcase against Roman Reigns

Sheamus was already an established main event talent when he won the Money in the Bank briefcase in 2015. Roman Reigns won the WWE Championship tournament and was crowned as the WWE Champion. The Big Dog refused a handshake from Triple H, symbolising his refusal to join the Authority after their candidate, Seth Rollins was injured.

Sheamus came out with his Money in the Bank briefcase and cashed in the contract on Reigns. He was able to defeat Reigns and become the Champion.
