Raw Predictions - December 11, 2017

A lot is expected from this week's Raw
A lot is expected from this week's Raw

Chaos is the one emotion which we expect to pour from upcoming Raw’s episode, which will air on December 11, 2017. Coming from what transpired last week, fans are eagerly waiting for the unfolding this week on Raw.

Here are the top things we expect to happen on this weeks’ Raw.

#1 Stephanie accuses Angle of Nepotism

A much awaited confrontation.
A much awaited confrontation.

Last week, Roman Reigns indicated his disliking towards the Raw General Manager for favoring his own biological son, Jason Jordan. Angle was seen explaining his actions over a phone call with the Authority.

We expect a face-to-face confrontation between Kurt Angle and Stephanie McMahon for addressing this issue further. Notably, Stephanie had put Angle’s job on the line at Survivor Series.

Last month, Triple H (Stephanie's husband and the COO) pedigreed Angle’s son in order to put himself on Team Raw. To make things worse, Triple H also pedigreed Kurt Angle at the Survivor Series.

It will be interesting to see how things shape up further on Raw this week.

#2 Who will be the number one contender?

This division has revived.
This division has revived.

Last two weeks have treated us with two spectacular fatal-four-way matches on Raw. This week Rich Swann was scheduled to face Drew Gulak to determine the number one contender for the Cruiser-weight championship.

However, with Rich Swann arrested, we will have to wait to see what happens.

#3 Kane vs. Braun Strowman ends in a draw

A rivalry of Monsters.
A rivalry of Monsters.

Both Kane and Braun Strowman have spent the significant part of this year in a tussle with each other. Their rivalry has only become more intense in the last couple of months.

This match is one the major draws on this weeks’ Raw. However, we suspect that there will be a clear winner.

Both Superstars have taken fans on a roller coaster ride in the recent weeks. Hence, we don’t expect WWE to suddenly call quits on this rivalry with a deterministic winner.

A possibility of double count out or a win via disqualification is on the cards to enhance this feud.

#4 Finn Balor looks to start afresh

What's next for him?
What's next for him?

Finn Balor is the only major superstar on the Raw roster without an opponent. WWE will surely look to amend it this week.

I predicted a turnaround for Jason Jordan a couple of weeks back and we have seen the same. I have expressed my concerns over Balor’s storylines last week. We expect a turnaround for Finn Balor this week.

Notably, Finn Balor was rumored to face Brock Lesnar at the Royal Rumble for the Universal Championship. But things have only gone south for the Irish wrestler in the last couple of weeks.

We expect fresh storylines for this Babyface.

Checkout the major takeaways from Jason Jordan's vs. Roman Reigns.

#5 “Woken” Matt Hardy hits the ring

The fans would love to see him in the ring.
The fans would love to see him in the ring.

WWE Universe has waited long for the return of this character. Last week’s promo between Matt Hardy and Bray Wyatt confirmed that Matt Hardy is now indeed “Woken”.

Notably, Raw has a tough competition against the major sports events which will start their telecast after Raw is thirty minutes in the show.

Hence, we expect Raw to play its one of the most anticipated card in the last couple of months, the return of “Woken” Matt Hardy in the ring. It is safe to say that it will prevent fans from flipping channels during this segment.

#6 Asuka’s Decision

Asuka: A decision to be made.
Asuka: A decision to be made.

The Absolution has given a “safe” exit to Asuka from the last two weeks. However, it will be a cliché thing to do this week.

We suspect that Paige prefers Asuka to be the part of Absolution. This might turn into a reality if the Absolution confronts Asuka for the third week in a row.

Contrastingly, there is a possibility that Asuka defies this offer and takes a shot at the faction. However, it is more probable that the former speculation will manifest.

#7 Dean Ambrose vs. Samoa Joe – Jordan interferes

This shall be the match of the night.
This shall be the match of the night.

This shall be one good physical match. The “Lunatic Fringe” will surely take the Samoan Superstar to the limits.

Taking into consideration the assault, which Joe did on Jordan last week, it is highly probable that Jordan will interfere in this match. He can further cost the match to Joe, guaranteeing himself a match against the Samoan the following week.

Notably, Jordan took Roman Reigns to the extreme last week before losing the Intercontinental championship match. Jordan’s involvement will surely cement his place on the current roster.

We can bet that this match shall steal the show.

#8 Reigns vs. Cesaro, the Intercontinental Championship

The Intercontinental Championship match.
The Intercontinental Championship match.

It will be a delight to see the “Big Dog” taking on the “Swiss Cyborg”. Reigns have been on the top run for the last couple of months. It is safe to assume the Intercontinental title is not changing hands this week.

However, we sense interference during this match as Reigns is involved with Samoa Joe’s storylines and Cesaro is a quarter in the tag team championships picture.

Overall, we can expect this show to close on a chaotic note.

Checkout the seven things you missed from last week's Raw.
