With all due respect to Otis, it does seem like his trial is a way to wrest the Money in the Bank contract away from his grasp and into the hands of someone who could be a more believable contender for someone like The Miz, who could be a legitimate challenger to someone like Drew McIntyre. Sure, The Miz may not necessarily size up to Drew McIntyre in the same way that maybe Randy Orton does, but at the same time, he is wily and he is conniving.
Also, the real thrill of a battle between The Miz and Drew McIntyre could be on the microphone because few can hold their own in a promo battle with The Miz, and Drew McIntyre may be one of the select few that can. So, here's the proposed timeline- Otis loses his contract to The Miz, The Miz cashes in, and then maybe Otis wins The Royal Rumble and challenges The Miz?
