Reason behind Cena taking time off?, Backstage word on the US champ's mindset

What could be the cause for John Cena to take time off?

- We have been reporting on the imminent time off being taken by WWE US champion John Cena, following the Hell in a Cell pay-per-view this month, owing to ‘personal reasons’. Cena had requested for the time off a while back, reportedly around summer. The champ hasn’t been advertised for any of the live events following the HIAC PPV and a couple of RAWs too.

While the conventional talk would direct itself to John’s health and/or relationship with WWE Diva Nikki Bella, both don’t seem to be the case, as Cena isn’t injured and Nikki Bella is advertised for events when the US champ is reported to be taking time off.

John Cena, the longtime face and franchise player of the WWE, taking time off has been the main fodder for rumour mills the past couple of weeks but very little, if anything, is known about the true reason behind his requesting for the time off. Reports say that peers fo Cena in the WWE too reached out to him, to check if everything is OK and Cena insisted that all is fine. He however dropped hint that when everyone comes to know the reason, they will be see that it is all for ‘good reason’.

John Cena, in his 13-year career with the WWE, has been one of the tireless road warriors for the company, constantly coming back from injuries early and holding up an insane road schedule without really taking any time off. His dedication and time at the top is unparalleled in the history of the company, which makes this upcoming break of his an anomaly of sorts.

Fuelling the rumour mills is also the ongoing episode in his personal life involving longtime girlfriend Nikki Bella, who had her former boyfriend Dolph Ziggler make overtures to her recently on the WWE TV show Total Divas. Cena, who during an episode in the previous season had ruled out marriage, is speculated to be involved in a WWE angle involving the real-life happenings.

However, long time fans can only hope and pray that the leader of ‘Cenation’ is back and running soon at the position he belongs at – The top of the WWE food chain.
