The conclusion of the TNA – Sony SIX media tour in Bengaluru

The four-city media tour of TNA Wrestling, in association with Sony Six, saw its final stop with a press conference involving both the stars and executives at the J W Marriott in Bengaluru today.

In attendance were Mr. Prasana Krishnan, Business Head of Sony SIX & Sony KIX and John Gaburick, Executive Vice President of Television & Talent Relations – TNA, along with TNA stars Rebel, Ethan Carter III, Rebel and India’s own Mahabali Shera.

The team have been on an extensive promotional tour this week. It all started in Mumbai on the 19th October, which saw a few major announcements, including TNA embarking on a live event tour from December 2nd to 4th this year. The final event will be televised all over the world live, including India, only on SIX.

Also announced at the conference was the launch of a talent search for India’s next big wrestling star – to join Mahabali Shera on the TNA roster. The talent search will be held with the support of Dalip Singh, better known as The Great Khali, whose pro wrestling school in Chandigarh is the prime venue for the talent search.

Upon being quizzed whether Singh will be seen on TNA television soon, John confirmed and answered ‘Yes!’.

The stars in attendance left no stone unturned to finish the tour with a bang, with Rebel showing off her Henna tattoo and EC III adorned in an Indian attire, while Shera played to his Indian roots.

Mr. Krishnan, when asked about the market for live events in India, expressed positivity. “For the first time, our local viewers will be able to experience live event which is something that they have only seen on our channel” said Mr. Krishnan.

The TNA live events in India will feature the whole roster of TNA talents, including the likes of Olympic gold medallist Kurt Angle and former TNA World Heavyweight champion Jeff Hardy.
