Following weeks of gripping build-up, WWE Survivor Series: WarGames 2024 is all set to take place tonight. There could be plenty of surprise appearances in store for the fans.
Like most WWE PLEs this year, Survivor Series is currently scheduled to feature five matches. That means numerous top stars are set to miss the pivotal show. But just because a star hasn't been advertised for a match yet doesn't mean fans won't see them tonight.
That said, here are five top WWE Superstars who could show up unannounced tonight and reinforce the promotion's mantra of 'Expect the Unexpected.'
#5. 10-time WWE World Champion The Rock to get involved in Bloodline business
Stone Cold returns to WWE? More HERE.
Apart from his brief appearance at Bad Blood, The Rock hasn't appeared on WWE programming since April. Despite that, his presence subtly looms over the ongoing Bloodline saga.
Tonight at Survivor Series, the New Bloodline is all set to square off against the OG Bloodline and CM Punk in a WarGames match. Even though there have been no signs pointing to an appearance from The Rock, several fans are counting on him to show up. After all, The Final Boss was a key part of this epic saga earlier this year.
In case The Brahma Bull does appear tonight, his return should be utilized to propel the Bloodline civil war to even greater heights. One way to do that would be by having The Rock betray Roman Reigns and reveal himself as the true mastermind behind the New Bloodline.
#4. Seth Rollins might invade the WarGames match
Up until last Friday morning, several fans were confident that Seth Rollins would be the fifth member of team OG Bloodline. After all, Rollins' current rival, Bronson Reed, will be representing the Solo Sikoa-led group.
However, in a surprising turn of events, CM Punk showed up to help Roman Reigns. The fact that Punk and Rollins' budding rivalry has been a highlight of RAW since January should mean that The Chicago native's involvement in tonight's WarGames match might rub The Visionary the wrong way.
Thus, a vexed Seth Rollins may appear out of the blue at Survivor Series to lay out both Bronson Reed and CM Punk. Furthermore, he could come face-to-face with his arch-rival Roman Reigns for the first time since WrestleMania XL.
#3. Jade Cargill could make first appearance after being attacked in the parking lot
While the build-up to the men's WarGames match has been the undisputed highlight of the road to Survivor Series 2024, the women's version also has all the makings of an instant classic.
Up until last week, Jade Cargill was part of the stacked lineup. However, an injury angle led to her getting replaced by 2024 women's Royal Rumble winner, Bayley. What's interesting is the fact that the rumor alluding to Cargill being legitimately hurt was debunked.
Thus, if the injury angle was part of a future storyline, that means the 32-year-old rising star shouldn't stay on the sidelines for long. In fact, she could make a surprise appearance at Survivor Series to lend Bianca Belair and the rest of the babyface team a helping hand.
#2. Finn Balor could remind Damian Priest that he's not finished with him
Survivor Series 2024 will feature a rematch from SummerSlam as Gunther and Damian Priest will fight over the World Heavyweight Championship. Their previous match ended with The Ring General walking out as the victor after Finn Balor betrayed El Campeon.
Nearly two months have passed since Priest avenged the betrayal by beating his former Judgment Day ally. Thus, he is fully confident that his path to championship glory is all clear. That thought might age terribly since Balor hasn't forgotten about his defeat and could be plotting his next move.
Thus, in a repeat of SummerSlam, the World Tag Team champion could once again cost Priest his match against Gunther. This time, though, it's highly likely that Balor unleashes 'The Demon' to deal with The Archer of Infamy.
#1. Kevin Owens could attend Survivor Series as a 'fan'
In the last few months, Kevin Owens lost two of his best friends on SmackDown due to Cody Rhodes burying the hatchet with Roman Reigns. Tonight, he might lose a third one.
Since Crown Jewel 2024, Sami Zayn, the man Kevin Owens main-evented WrestleMania 39 with, has been fighting alongside The Original Tribal Chief. Obviously, that wouldn't sit well with The Prizefighter. However, Owens hasn't gotten the opportunity to confront Zayn about it due to his feud with Cody Rhodes and Randy Orton.
But with The American Nightmare not supposed to be part of Survivor Series, fans might get the long-awaited segment between the Canadian best friends. Since Nick Aldis might not allow a volatile Owens to roam backstage, he might show up as a paying fan and confront The Honorary Uce, which could start an emotional rivalry culminating in a brutal match at WrestleMania 41.
