One of the favorites to win the briefcase is The Main Event Jey Uso. Uso has become one of the most popular stars in the company ever since he distanced himself from the Bloodline and became a singles star. While he has competed for the WWE Championship on numerous occasions, he always fell short.

As per Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Uso stated that he is going to win the MITB this year, and his claims are likely to come true. The 10-time WWE Tag Team Champion has been a major part of the RAW Division but is yet to win a singles championship. Winning the MITB will help him solidify himself as a top-tier superstar:

''He said he was going to win Money in the Bank this year. He’s really over and hasn’t been given the major title win, so I could see him getting it,'' stated Meltzer.

Matt Camp believes Jey Uso is the favorite to win the MITB in WWE this year

Former The Bump host Matt Camp stated on his podcast that he thinks Jey Uso is the favorite to win the MITB match because of how over he is with the crowd. He also stated that he believes that his matches have been average, however, it is his catchphrase 'yeet' which has caught the attention of the fans:

"Sometimes it's not about the work rate. If you're over and you're selling merch, that stuff's all secondary. He will go into that Money in the Bank ladder match as a favorite. There's a world where he could win that thing and I get that. I totally understand that."

Jey Uso delivered one of the worst matches at WrestleMania 40 when he faced his brother Jimmy Uso. None of his matches against Roman Reigns gained critical acclaim either. His last shot at the World Championship against Damian Priest also received mixed reactions. Despite this, he continues to be very popular and an MITB win seems to be on the cards for him.
