John Cena could possibly capture his 17th WWE World Championship before retiring  - Reports

John Cena's legendary WWE career has given him multiple world championships during his twenty-plus-year tenure with the promotion. According to a new report, the Leader of Cenation could possibly end up with his 17th world title before retiring from in-ring competition.

Earlier this year, John Cena returned to WWE for a short feud with the then-United States Champion Austin Theory. After constantly declining for a match, Cena finally agreed to face Theory for the title at WrestleMania 39. Unfortunately, he lost the bout in order to put A-Town over during his run as champion.

The WWE Universe might be seeing John Cena's last run, and fans were wondering when he will capture the 17th world title to break Ric Flair's record. Recently, fans asked BWE if Cena would ever break the record, and the insider responded by saying it's up to the Leader of Cenation. Check it out:

It will be interesting to see if the Leader of Cenation ever decides to go after the world championship before retiring from the promotion.

After SummerSlam 2023, it was announced that John Cena would return to the promotion for a short stint that would last around eight weeks on Friday Night SmackDown. However, the company found ways to utilize Cena during his short extended period on the blue brand.

He immediately started feuding with The Bloodline's Solo Sikoa and Jimmy Uso. Later, he teamed up with LA Knight and defeated the duo at Fastlane 2023. The Leader of Cenation also went to the developmental brand to help tomorrow's stars, such as Carmelo Hayes.
