Triple H evidently has a knack for bringing up talents in WWE, working with them on their strengths, and booking them better than those in charge previously.

Suffice it to say that Stephanie McMahon calling this new stage of WWE the "Paul Levesque Era" at WrestleMania XL felt like an apt title. However, only a few weeks on, WWE has already released a few notable talents, including Von Wagner.

Per Fightful Select, there were no creative plans for Von Wagner, which was not said to be his fault. His final storyline was against Bron Breakker, which ended with Wagner losing emphatically to the former NXT Champion.

Former WWE Champion Jinder Mahal and Indus Sher were apparently retained in the company's roster in order to expand the international market, to help with television rights fees in those deals. This was the same strategy for Xia Li and Xyon Quinn. But with the Netflix deal set for 2025, that seems to be an issue no longer.

In the case of Von Wagner, that was not the case. However, the second-generation superstar did not do much for the company, and his career trajectory, much like the rest of the releases, was not satisfactory when compared to the amount of time he spent with the promotion.

Since getting released, Sanga of Indus Sher candidly spoke about the sports entertainment giant using Indian talents. He expressed disappointment and lambasted the company for not giving them substantial storylines to work with.

Jinder Mahal's second WWE release resonated with Drew McIntyre

After a disappointing conclusion to a career that kicked off on the right path (as a member of 3MB alongside Jinder Mahal and Heath Slater), Drew McIntyre returned to the global wrestling juggernaut in 2017. He subsequently went on to build himself back up after a successful run in the independent circuit. Eventually, McIntyre became the WWE Champion.

While Jinder Mahal had a similar fate in the last decade, The Maharaja also wound up returning to the Stamford-based promotion. He became the one chosen to hoist a world title even before the Scotsman, as the company intended to cater to the Indian audience in 2017.

After Mahal's sudden release, Drew sent a message to him. The Scottish wrestler encouraged The Maharaja to "show them again," reminding his former stablemate that both of them were once let go but found great success afterward.
