Yes, WWE actually ended up booking the Eye for an Eye match between Seth Rollins and Rey Mysterio at Extreme Rules. WWE confirmed that in order to win the match, the Superstar would have to 'pull out his opponent's Eye.'

That doesn't sound PG and certainly not something that can be shown in its gruesome form on WWE TV.

Dave Meltzer reported in the Wrestling Observer Newsletter that the Eye for an Eye match would be a pre-taped cinematic match.

It was added that the company plans on using CGI (computer-generated imagery) to 'simulate the Eye being pulled out.'

WWE, after all, does have a plan but the execution matters in this case.

Various reports are doing the rounds about Rey Mysterio's uncertain WWE future, and the finish of the Extreme Rules match could depend on the veteran Superstar's status in the company.

If Mysterio doesn't sign a new contract, he would possibly be written off TV by getting booked to lose. However, as noted by Dave Meltzer, WWE could also push him to go over Seth Rollins at the show and have the Monday Night Messiah come out wearing an eyepatch before booking a 'magical fixture storyline'.

The fans are, nonetheless, in for another exciting cinematic clash at 'The Horror Show at Extreme Rules'.
