Triple H and Cody Rhodes had a conversation at the end of last night's RAW.

The captivating conversation between Cody Rhodes and Triple H at the conclusion of last night's WWE RAW was reportedly based on a real interaction in the past.

Last night's edition of RAW opened up with a bang as Brock Lesnar brutally attacked Cody Rhodes backstage. The American Nightmare's arm was broken in the storyline, but he refused to give up. Lesnar added insult to the injury later on the show when he got Rhodes in the Kimura Lock in the middle of the ring as he writhed in pain.

Cody essentially barricaded himself in the locker room last night following the attacks by Lesnar and refused medical attention. Triple H entered to try and talk some sense into Cody, but in the end, it appeared he wound up gaining more respect for him instead. Rhodes asked The Game what he would do in this situation and said he is going to Night of Champions to fight Brock Lesnar. Triple H took a seat and watched Cody pack up his gear with a smirk on his face. He then gave Rhodes a pat on the back to end the show.

Speaking on Wrestling Observer Live, Bryan Alvarez noted that Triple H was reenacting a conversation he had with former WWE Champion Daniel Bryan, who is now known as Bryan Danielson in All Elite Wrestling.

"This is actually a worked version of when Hunter wanted to stop that Bryan Danielson match and Daniel wanted to fight him in the back. Where Hunter is trying to tell him ‘you can’t do this’ and Cody’s furiously explaining, ‘bro, you’ve done this 1,000 times, what would you do?’ Finally, Hunter gave in, and now Cody Rhodes is going into Night of Champions with a clipped wing," said Bryan Alvarez. Cody Rhodes has had a painful last couple of months in WWE

In addition to being locked in a war against Brock Lesnar, Cody Rhodes also suffered the most heartbreaking loss of his career at WrestleMania 39 in Los Angeles.

Cody returned from suffering a torn pectoral muscle last year as the final entrant in the 2023 Royal Rumble. He eliminated Gunther to punch his ticket to the main event of WrestleMania and everyone thought he was going to finish his story at the event.

However, it was not meant to be, and Solo Sikoa interfered to ensure that Roman Reigns remained the Undisputed WWE Universal Champion. Brock Lesnar attacked Rhodes on the RAW after WrestleMania, and now The American Nightmare will have to conquer The Beast again before he can even think about going after The Tribal Chief.

While many fans believe that Cody Rhodes should have won at WrestleMania 39, some wanted to see him go through more adversity before winning the Undisputed WWE Universal Championship. The 37-year-old will have to overcome the odds once again to defeat Brock Lesnar at WWE Night of Champions.
