WWE Rumours: WWE trying to book Ronda Rousey vs Charlotte?

Both stars have been top dogs of their respective divisions

Cage Side Seats has reported that if WWE can get Ronda Rousey for Wrestlemania 33, it is likely going to be in a program against Charlotte. It is no secret that WWE has been trying to get Ronda Rousey to do Wrestlemania again for a while now.

Stephanie McMahon earlier in November even admitted that she would love to get her back, in an interview with TMZ:

Ronda Rousey herself had once revealed her intentions to be a Divas Champion. In a sit-down before her fight with Holly Holm last year, she explained her future targets after MMA, and one of them was to be the Divas Champion

If Charlotte and Ronda Rousey were to face off, it would likely be in a non-title bout. However, there are various factors coming into play. Dana White needs to permit Ronda Rousey to wrestle in the first place.

She was allowed to have a role at Wrestlemania 31 primarily because it was a non-wrestling affair, and Dana White himself admitted that he enjoyed the segment which she was in with The Rock, Triple H, and Stephanie McMahon.

However, wrestling an actual match is an entirely different ordeal.

It is no secret that Ronda Rousey is a huge fan of WWE. She herself may be more than willing to do it, but it also depends on what her schedule looks like, since she is now also making a gradual transition to Hollywood, and is likely to have future film roles lined up for her.

She’s also scheduled to face UFC Women’s Bantamweight Champion Amanda Nunes at UFC 207, following which her schedule with the UFC would be decided.

However, there is no denying that the two facing off would be a huge special attraction. Both Charlotte and Ronda Rousey are supremely talented athletes who would likely pull off a great match if they were to face off in the Squared Circle.
