Style dashed the hopes of Ambrose on SmackDown

This week was all about Hell in a Cell, and this forced the SmackDown superstars to take a backseat. AJ Styles was no different. The WWE Champion faced off against Dean Ambrose on Tuesday night, and only managed to win the match thanks to a disqualification.

He got knocked out by James Ellsworth, but on the bright side, Styles successfully managed to keep Ambrose away from the gold.

With no clear contender for his title present at the moment, Styles would enter into the next week of WWE programming strongly. As far as his Power Rankings are concerned, he keeps his position thanks to the win.
