10 Most beautiful moves in WWE today

Seth Rollins Falcon Arrow
The Architect's Falcon Arrow is only half of a gorgeous combination.

Last week, I looked at 10 moves that are irritants on the WWE landscape. Their use subtracts from a match. These moves, on the other hand, do the opposite. These are the moves that always make a match more of a spectacle, and make the performer using them more over with fans.

Sportskeeda is the one-stop destination for latest WWE rumors and wrestling news.

A lot of these moves are finishers, but they don't necessarily need to be. A signature spot that sets up a finishing attempt, or even just a go-to sequence for a performer, can wow us just as much.

Unsurprisingly, most of the performers doing these moves are names you probably recognize. Some you might find less prominent, but will likely not your head in agreement, at least in principle, with why I chose their moves for this list.

Let's get right into it.

#10: End of Days (Baron Corbin)

Baron Corbin doesn't have a whole lot going for him at the moment. He's been beset with bad booking (he has a recent loss to No Way Jose on his record), his matches are far from must-see, and he's not very charismatic. However, he does have one silver lining to him. He has one of the best finishers in the company.

Crowds don't often react to Baron Corbin, but they always react to his finisher. It's a visual spectacle, a display of strength and power that moves quickly and looks devastating. Corbin's booking hasn't been so hot in the past year, but the booking of the End of Days has remained consistent.

To go with its visual display, it's one of the most protected finishers in the company, so on that front, it has a lot of credibilities as well. If you can remember the last time someone kicked out of it, post it in the comments below.

#9 Bitter End (Pete Dunne)

To me, the Bitter End feels like a sublime combination of old school with new. The pump handle isn't a flashy move by itself, but Pete Dunne somehow managed to put a whole new finesse on it in his still young wrestling career. It's simultaneously a display of power with an acrobatic facade (to which his opponents must share some of the credit).

When you watch it, you're probably wondering just how Dunne manages to spin his opponents in the air the way he does.

The entire move is a spectacle that helps to make Dunne's matches must-see affairs. He never disappoints.

#8 Black Mass (Aleister Black)

The best strike in the company today, bar none.

The move looks completely devastating and it's been extremely protected. No one has kicked out of it yet. It helps that the name is cool and fits the gimmick of its wielder.

When watching Aleister Black's matches, the move looms large in your mind. You know it can end the contest at any time, and it comes from out of nowhere. The unpredictability of the execution, but a certainty of defeat that it brings to Black's opponents, leaves the viewer watching, wondering when it will come.

#7 Death Valley Driver (Velveteen Dream)

The Velveteen Dream is truly a prodigy. He's still only 22 and is already a star in every part of being a professional wrestler. He has many great moves, but his Death Valley Driver, which he uses as a signature, is probably his best.

The move is executed with power and finesse. It's supposed to be a slow, hard-hitting move, but with Velveteen Dream, it can come from nowhere, as seen a week ago when he turned on Ricochet in their handicap match with Lars Sullivan.

His execution of the move on Ricochet on a ladder was one of the most incredible spots at NXT TakeOver: New Orleans.

#6 Flying Cross Armbar (Asuka)

It's a real shame that Ronda Rousey's arrival seems to have prompted the company to take this away from Asuka, right after it seemed to do the reverse and caused them to have her overuse it. It's a stunning display not often seen in WWE. The fact that Asuka can pull it out of nowhere, on opponents of any size, makes it all the more impressive.

Hopefully, she'll be able to use it every once in a while, especially whenever the novelty of Ronda Rousey's entrance into the company fully wears off.

#5 Superplex into Falcon Arrow (Seth Rollins)

Only a very few individuals in the company are the calibre of ring performer that Seth Rollins is, especially now. This combination is exhibit A.

While the Superplex/Falcon Arrow combination doesn't ever end his matches, when Seth Rollins does it, you're always on the edge of your seat. It's an incredible display of speed, coordination, and power. The fact that he does it routinely is simultaneously amazing and fresh. It never gets old.

Somehow, the kickouts feel huge, even though you've seen it all before. That split-second suspension of disbelief is what a great professional wrestler can produce every time, and Seth Rollins meets that calling.

#4 630 Senton (Ricochet)

How Ricochet can do the things he does might be one of the great mysteries of the modern world. The rotation and hangtime he gets on his 630 Senton is incredible. While other moves might look like they impact with more force, there's no way that a crowd can't get involved when it sees a display of athleticism of this caliber. It's one of the reasons Ricochet was a huge signing for the company back in January.

We'll see him go toe to toe with Velveteen Dream at TakeOver: Chicago. Between the two of them, we're in for something special!

#3 Claymore into Zig Zag (Drew McIntyre and Dolph Ziggler)

youtube-cover

It's only been a little less than two months, but this combination has already made its mark. It's easily the best double-team maneuver in the company today.

The synchrony and symmetry between McIntyre and Ziggler is a truly spectacular display. The move has put them over huge in a very short amount of time. It's one of the reasons why Ziggler is the hottest he's been since his feud with The Miz in 2016. Such is the importance of a simple move.

One has to imagine that sooner rather than later, either Matt Hardy or Bray Wyatt will feel its wrath, and we'll have new Raw Tag Team Champions.

#2 Insane Elbow (Kairi Sane)

youtube-cover

Sorry Macho Man, but unfortunately you're now second-best when it comes to elbow drops. Kairi's hangtime, motions, and precision come together to produce a stunning display that somehow looks completely devastating despite her small stature. The elbow always lands first, never her hip on the mat, making it appear that the tip of the elbow drives right into her opponents' hearts with all of her weight multiplied by the force of her fall.

Seeing Kairi Sane execute that move always makes her matches worth watching.

#1 Eclipse (Ember Moon)

The Eclipse is, in my opinion, the easy choice for the best finisher in the entire company. An incredible display of athleticism and with an impact that looks catastrophic for her opponents, just the mere threat of the Eclipse makes Ember Moon an instant threat that any competitor, no matter how large or small, must take seriously.

It helps that the move has been very protected. The only person to ever kick out of it was Asuka at their now legendary second TakeOver clash in Brooklyn last year. The move had been built up so much that Asuka kicking out of it made it, and her, feel all the more special. Few finishers have been better used in the modern era, or look more spectacular than the Eclipse.
