What’s the story?
Another rap music video has gone viral with the two-time WWE Hall of Famer at the centre once again.
Rap artist 21 Savage released the music video for “Ric Flair Drip” featuring Offset, Metro Boomin and song namesake Flair.
In case you didn’t know
Many rap artists have expressed their interest in professional wrestling through their music and have either name-dropped wrestlers or have even named music after professional wrestlers.
Some of the biggest artist to have mentioned wrestlers in their music include Waka Flocka Flame, Outkast, Lil Wayne, Wale, the rap group Migos and many more.
The heart of the matter
The song was made by Offset from the rap group Migos and record producer Metro Boomin and was a collaboration with 21 Savage for the Without Warning album.
The official audio for the song was released on 21 Savage’s YouTube page back on Oct. 31, 2017 and has 49 million views. The song peaked at No. 39 on Billboard's Charts and earned Offset his first Platinum single after selling more than one million copies.
The music video was released on 21 Savage’s Vevo YouTube page on March 1 and has already reached 1.5 million views at the time of this writing.
Towards the end of the song, The Nature Boy dropped a variation on his iconic catchphrase:
“Hey, this is for all my Kiss Stealing, Wheelin’ Dealin’, Limousine Ridin’, Jet Flying drippin’ son of a guns! Wooooo!”
Flair has received quite a number of homages and mentions in rap songs over the years from rappers like Cam’ron, Pusha T, Wu-Tang Clan and Killer Mike.
His latest viral music video performance was on Latin Trap artist Bad Bunny for the song, Chambea which generated 190 million views on YouTube.

Flair next big appearance will be in the Lexington Comic and Toy Convention on March 9 in Lexington, Kentucky and will be joined by Jim Cornette, Rey Mysterio and fellow WWE Hall of Famers Kevin Nash, Trish Stratus, Lita and Booker T.
