John Cena’s Money in the Bank victory and subsequent cash-in was questionable, to say the least. Money in The Bank is usually used as a concept to push potential headliners currently stuck in the mid-card to the top. Or sometimes to push a guy who has been out of the title picture for far too long. Neither of that was the case for Cena.

This was back when Cena was in his prime and was getting title shots every other month. Furthermore, WWE refused to capitalize on the opportunity to make the guy turn heel and made him ‘declare’ his cash-in weeks before the said cash-in. When he finally cashed-in at Raw 1000, Big Show interfered in the match, then The Rock interfered and CM Punk turned heel.

Throughout the 'cash-in', the Money in The Bank contract was at no time the core focus of the match. It just felt like another shot to make 'Super' Cena champion once again. All-in-all, 2012’s Money in The Bank was wasted.
