#4. Drew McIntyre cried after winning the 2020 WWE Royal Rumble

Drew McIntyre’s journey to the top of WWE took some time. His first stint with the company wasn’t great, even though he was titled “The Chosen One.” His second run with the company has proven to be a lot more rewarding.

After winning the NXT Championship, McIntyre moved to the main roster. It took him some time to aim for the top, but he won the 2020 Royal Rumble and made a statement.

During his appearance on WWE’s The Bump, McIntyre spoke about his emotions getting the better of him at the moment.

“I honestly didn’t believe I was winning until it happened and my legs just ceased to work after Roman hit the floor and I heard the reactions. I think I managed a couple of turns and my leg just gave out on me... That moment when I collapsed in the ring. That was the moment when everything went rushing through me. The journey. The ups and downs the sacrifices, my family, my wife... I got emotional. I got tears in my eyes — I get emotional. You know I’m human it all just hit me at that moment.”

The victory helped him turn into The Scottish Warrior and defeat Brock Lesnar to win his first WWE Championship.
