Three reasons why Brock Lesnar won't be booked to successfully cash-in

WWE Money in the Bank 2019 showcased some of the best wrestling matches filled with exuberant performances. The ending, however, left the audience confused and shocked. The Beast Incarnate Brock Lesnar surprisingly included himself in the men's ladder match and won the coveted briefcase.

With the guaranteed contract, the megastar has the most chances of winning either one of the two major titles. Lesnar is, without a doubt, a top draw, but giving him another title reign would be an unpopular decision unless he competes regularly.

Such a thing is next to impossible while considering the amount of money Lesnar would demand for each appearance. WWE fans who dislike the idea of Lesnar holding the title hostage have some hope because the Beast may not be successfully cashing in. Here are the three reasons why WWE might book things that way.

#3 To build towards the future

Seth Rollins

A successful cash-in by Brock Lesnar means that the Universal title goes back into hibernation. It would only take the company backward. At WrestleMania 35, they showed that they are taking some steps forward by crowning the first African-American WWE Champion and conducting the first Women's WrestleMania main event.

Seth Rollins too profited out of the show by overcoming Brock in the opening contest. With his athleticism and in-ring capabilities, Rollins could be the face of the future. For that, they need to show him as a credible Universal Champion for a long time. Losing the title so soon would hurt his momentum.

Plus if Brock comes back and takes the Universal Championship, the entire WrestleMania 35 narrative would restart. Seth has to build his momentum all over again until the next major pay-per-view. As the Kingslayer already has a considerable amount of momentum, the company could be planning to show him successfully thwart the Beast's attempts to cash in.

#2 The part-timer wouldn't improve ratings constantly

Some think that WWE's future at Fox might be a reason for them in considering Brock to be a long-term champion in place of the current title holder Kofi Kingston. The cash-heavy deal that they have with the gigantic television network is subject to be canceled if their ratings don't improve. In such a case, it looks likely for them to take that route.

The episode of RAW that followed the Money in the Bank had a boost in ratings. Thus it is obviously clear that Lesnar has the ability to get the audience hooked on to the blue brand too. However, there is a small problem in that. If Lesnar becomes WWE Champion the ratings would improve on SmackDown Live for a particular season when he appears.

The Beast Incarnate might likely take the title with him into hibernation mode, which would leave the rest of the roster without any motivation. Kofi Kingston thwarting a successful cash-in by the Beast looks unlikely. However, it is much needed to build a credible champion for Smackdown and a short storyline between the both of them when it starts airing on Fox.

#1 A booking strategy to convince Lesnar to appear at Super ShowDown

Brock Lesnar winning the Money in the Bank might just be a negotiating tactic to make him work at Saudi Arabia. It was reported that Lesnar was a bit unsatisfied over the result of his WrestleMania 35 match and left the show early.

Despite the money, Lesnar would actually want the company to feature him in a way that improves his brand value. Getting defeated by Rollins in a non-main event and in a very humiliating manner actually takes a lot of credibility away from the Beast.

Thus, he might not be willing to come back unless they compensate for the loss from an on-screen perspective. If rumors are to be believed, then Brock Lesnar is facing Rollins at the Saudi show. Handing over the briefcase to Lesnar and having him challenge Seth is the only way to convince him if he is booked to lose again.
