TNA news: TNA Impact’s Thursday tapings have been cancelled

Taping pushed to October 8th

Struggling Pro-wrestling giants – TNA (Total Non-Stop Action), confirmed on Thursday that they would not host the scheduled tapings for the day. Don’t worry, this is in no way related to the financial state of the company. This decision was taken as a safety measure from the looming hurricane – Matthew. TNA issued an official statement regarding the issue once they realised that moving the show timings to 1 pm EST wasn’t going to help their cause either.

Apparently, all the scheduled stars of the brand were in Orlando, Florida for the television tapings at the Universal Studios. However, the warnings issued for Florida and Orlando forced them into looking for alternatives or cancelling the tapings altogether.

This led to Impact Wrestling and Universal Studios to come to a consensus that the precautionary warnings would be heeded and instead, the tapings will be rescheduled as per convenience and requirement.

Thursday’s taping will be carried out on Saturday, the 8th of October, through an evening show which will start at 6 pm EST. The doors to this will be open from 5 pm EST.

However, the major challenge would be on Sunday, October 9th, when TNA has scheduled two shows in the same day, a matinee and an evening session.

Doors to the matinee show will be open from 12 pm EST onwards, with the event scheduled to start at 1 pm EST. The evening show will commence at 7 pm EST, the doors of which will be open from an hour before.

Broken Matt and Brother Nero are expected to be a part of these rescheduled tapings

To the relief of the fans, these last minute changes promise not to hamper the quality of these television tapings, with fans getting to witness their favourite Impact Wrestlers and Knockouts LIVE in Orlando, at the Universal Studios.

Broken Matt and Brother Nero, EC3, Brandi Rhodes, Gail Kim, Eddie Edwards and many other fan favourites are still scheduled to be a part of these tapings cramped up in two days. The proceedings are expected to continue as per the decided scripts as well, with the hurricane causing no harm in that aspect of the show.

While the future of the company is still in an uncertain state, it is encouraging to know that the decision-makers are still determined to do good by the fans and are striving to put out a good show.
