Top 10 quickest Royal Rumble eliminations of all time

MVP

Royal Rumble, in other words, is the survival of the fittest, a match in which one has to do whatever it takes to hold on to the ring. In order to become the winner one has to be the last man standing in the ring, which could take 10 minutes or 20, 30, 40, sometimes even an hour. But, in Royal Rumble’s 25 years of history many men have failed to understand this thing. Here are all those superstars who haven’t lasted in the ring for even 10 seconds.

#10 Montel Vontavious Porter – 7 seconds

This happened in 2010. After losing a U.S. Championship match to The Miz earlier that night, MVP entered the Rumble furious about his loss and he went for The Miz. He took Miz over the top rope, eliminating him but unfortunately himself as well in the process.

#9 The Miz – 7 seconds

It was 2007, The Great Khali entered the match at #28 and he quickly eliminated 7 superstars including the #29 entry The Miz who thought that it would be great to attack the dangerous Khali, who in turn sent Miz flying out of the ring. These were those times when The Miz wasn’t “awesome.”

#8 Gillberg – 7 seconds

1999 was the year when WWE was filled with nonsense gimmicks and this guy was one of the best comedians of that time, and so was his elimination. Doing his Goldberg-style entrance, Gillberg entered the ring and thought that the fans would love it if he does his second-rope pose. Unfortunately, he wasn’t aware that he is in the middle of the match, and Edge understood that he isn’t interested in the match, so he took no time in showing him the way out.

#7 The Godfather – 5 seconds

The Godfather

Last year, The Godfather made a surprise entry in the Royal Rumble match. Coming to the ring in his classic style, but he was little aware about the threat inside the ring in the form of Dolph Ziggler, who took no time in eliminating the returning Godfather.

#6 Jerry Lawler – 4 seconds

It was 1997 and Jerry Lawler was doing his job as a commentator, when his number was announced. He took off his headphones and entered the ring in a bid to stay for long, but two punches from his old rival Bret Hart were enough to get him back on commentary.

#5 Bushwhacker Luke – 4 seconds

In the 1991 Royal rumble, Bushwhacker Luke entered the match in his legendary marching style, he entered the ring, got eliminated by Earthquake, but never mind he continued his march. One of the most funniest eliminations in history.

#4 Owen Hart – 3 seconds

The late Owen Hart was a great wrestler but his 1995 Royal Rumble appearance was a forgettable one. British Bulldog was in hot form in that match and he took no time in eliminating his once tag-team partner Owen Hart.

#3 Mo – 3 seconds

Owen Hart wasn’t the only unlucky man in the 1995 Royal Rumble. He was joined in by Mo as the second superstar who got eliminated in just 3 seconds in that match. King Kong Bundy was the one who did the honors this time.

#2 The Warlord – 2 seconds

His name does sound great, but Warlord’s 1989 Royal Rumble appearance was as awful as it gets. He entered the ring with all his confidence, got a clothesline from Hulk Hogan, and went out of the ring.

#1 Santino Marella – 1 second

This has to be the most watched Royal Rumble elimination of all time, reason being it’s the funniest elimination in Royal Rumble’s history. Santino entered the ring hopeful of winning the match, but little did he know that Kane was ready to send him out of the ring in no more than a single second. This is a Royal Rumble record that no one wants to break, and probably no one ever will. The funny part about his elimination was the way he shouted “I wasn’t ready” after his elimination.
